Mark Tasker appointed aftersales programmes manager at MFG

MFG has appointed associate partner Mark Tasker as its new aftersales programmes manager.

Tasker will be responsible for developing and launching MFG’s aftersales training programmes offering and will report directly to chief executive, Declan Gaule.

He has already worked with MFG for two years as an associate partner delivering successful programmes and results across the UK, China and Japan, as well as supporting the business with specialist programmes development and project management.

Gaule said: “Mark’s track record and aftersales expertise speak for themselves. He has created and led programmes that have transformed commercial performance for leading global automotive brands.

“We’re very close to revealing the first of our new aftersales solutions and I’m excited about the immediate impact we can make for automotive retail businesses. Watch this space.”

Tasker began his career in 1983 as a sales executive with an independent Toyota dealership in South West London.

During the following 16 years, he worked his way up the ranks leaving McCarthy Weybridge Toyota and Lexus as head of business in 1999.

He then joined TTL, an automotive training and consultancy business – working with Renault UK to improve customer satisfaction processes across their dealer network.

Tasker was appointed as TTL’s learning and development manager in 2006, which saw him become intrinsically involved with high profile projects that included:

  • Working with General Motors and Raytheon in Germany on the development of their pan European GM/Vauxhall/Opel sales process
  • Leading and managing the integration of the Honda UK Institute with the TTL outsource training team which was responsible for the development and delivery of all commercial training programmes for both aftersales and sales across HMUK network
  • The roll out of the HMUK training model across European markets with Mark and the training team supporting Honda Motor Europe

In 2008, Tasker set up his own consultancy and training business supporting dealer groups and manufacturers across the UK, with a focus on aftersales.

He maintained the relationship with Honda Motor Europe and supported the development of the HME Aftersales E-learning Programme.

This was followed by learning and development roles with Now Vauxhall Group and RTS Group plus supporting the Mazda UK Training Academy with the development and roll out of their aftersales training curriculum in the UK.
